A NEW COLLECTION OF PHOTOGRAPHS EXPLORING
THE SUSPENDED MOMENTS DURING FOOTBALL’S STOPPAGE TIME ALONG WITH THE SIMPLICITY AND THE STARK BEAUTY OF THE GLOBAL GAME.

“Stoppage Time” is a term used for the extra time added at the end of each half in Football (Soccer).

It is a chance to make up for the stoppage of play that occurs throughout the game due to restarts, injuries, fights, and pitch invasions. A lot of times, this fragment of time is the last chance for a team to score the winning goal, concede the winning goal or level the score.

 

In this collection of photographs, Mikey Riva captures the raw emotion behind this suspended action of the game.
