The Boardwalk is governed as a park There is no smoking on park grounds, the beach and anywhere west of the Venice Beach Boardwalk. These areas are smoke free zones. Venice Recreation and Parks are is closed from midnight – 5: oo a.m. No animals allowed in Children’s play area Dogs prohibited on Ocean Front Walk from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m on Sat., Sun. and holidays. (Between Memorial Day to Labor Day) Pick up your dog’s litter! Dog defecation must be removed immediately by owners under penalty of law. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed on the beach in Venice. Do not walk on the Venice Bike Path. It is meant for bikes only! No bicycles on Ocean Front Walk (Venice Beach Boardwalk). Use the bike path or speedway (street east and parallel to the Venice Beach Boardwalk) No BBQ pits on Venice Beach Throw your trash in the garbage bins or take it home with you.
