Pro tip:  Parking in Venice  fills up quickly, so start your day early.  Come early to find street parking!

The Department of Beaches and Harbors manages 3 Public lots in Venice  

OPEN:  6:00 A.M. – 12 A.M.

COST OF PARKING:

  • Winter:  $5 from  6-9 a.m.  and $9 from   9 a.m.-12:a.m
  • Summer:  $9 from 6 -9 a.m.  $15  from 9a.m.-12a.m.

PAY AND DISPLAY EQUIPMENT: 

The pay and display equipment accepts Visa and Mastercard credit cards as well as $1 and $5 bills, and quarters, dimes and nickels for payment, and they do not give change. One payment is good for one vehicle per entry per day. Cars entering the parking lot early in the morning before the attendant arrives must still pay for a parking permit and display it properly.

PARKING LOT INFO:   

  • Free parking is available for vehicles displaying a legal disabled placard or license plate on non-holiday weekdays at lots that are either staffed or un-gated.
  • No  overnight parking is permitted.
  • Overnight parking for Recreational Vehicles is available only at Dockweiler Beach Recreational Vehicle Park.

PRIVATE PARKING BY THE BEACH

There are private parking lots near the beach near Windward Ave. These private lots can cost anywhere between $5-$30 per day.  Be sure to state clearly how long you will be staying for and make sure the rate applies for the full time of the visit.

ABBOT KINNEY BLVD. PARKING:  

Get there early for street parking.  Public pay lots are on the east side of the street behind the storefronts throughout the area.  Additional parking can be found at Westminster Elementary School (1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA 90291) on Main Street between Brooks Avenue and Westminster Avenue.

HOW TO AVOID GETTING PARKING TICKETS IN VENICE.  

  • Remember to be carefully read all signs when parking your car in Venice.  Beware of the “red”no parking zones and “street cleaning” days.
  • Avoid parking where the curbs are painted red.   Red means no parking.
  • Pay attention to when your parking meter expires. The parking attendants are on it!
