Venice’s beach front Recreation and Park’s outdoor facilities are magical, and except for Muscle Beach Gym, there is no membership fees! Check it out!

MUSCLE BEACH GYM: Outdoor gym with free weights, machines, power rack, powerlifting bumpers & more. Bodybuilder Hall of Fame also found here.

Open daily: 8 am
$20 day pass.

BASKETBALL COURTS: 3 regulation & 1 stadium size court.

CHILDREN’S PARK: 2 play areas with swings and slides.

BOXING AREA: 6 speedbag platforms, 2 heavy bag areas.

GYMNASTIC AREA: Also know as the “sand pit” includes: 2 rings set, high and low parallel bars, balance bar, horizontal bar, and 2 climbing ropes.

SKATEPARK: 27,000 sq. foot park,including 2 bowls, snake run, rails, stairs.

SKATE PLAZA: rails, mini-wave, transitions.

VENICE SKATE DANCE PLAZA: Live D.J. and dancing every weekend.

BIKE PATH: The bike path that runs along the beach spans 17 miles, from Pacific Palisades to the Palos Verdes peninsula. No pedestrians on path! Rent at Jay’s RentalsVB.com

HANDBALL COURTS: 4 three wall courts and 3 one wall courts. All courts first come first serve.

PADDLE TENNIS COURTS: 11 courts. Instructors on hand to teach. Rental $5 w/ valid I.D. All courts first come first serve.

EQUIPMENT RENTAL & INSTRUCTORS:

The Rec & Parks office offers handball, basketball, boxing bag rentals free with valid I.D. Paddle tennis racquet rental $5 with valid I.D. Instructors also available. Courts are first come first served.
