9th Annual Santa Monica Airport ArtWalk! Tour the open studios of over 50 artists at the Historic Santa Monica Airport.

Activities include:

– Bottle Cap Art Project with Resource, Recovery and Recycling- kids get to turn hundreds of recycled bottle caps into a communal art piece.

– Stump the Artist at the The Museum of Flying – Artist, author, and historian Mike Machat can draw any plane from memory, see if you can stump him!. He will also talk about the Museum’s new mural Record Breakers which he’ll be painting over the next few months.
– Learn about sustainable gardening and take a tour of our Demonstration Garden with one of the designers.
– Get your photo taken inside an old-fashioned Papermoon photo booth withSabine Pearlman Photography.
– Kids of all ages will enjoy seeing (and maybe participating in) the Raku Firing Demonstrations at the Santa Monica College – SMC (Official) of Ceramic Arts.
– Theater workshops and performances at Ruskin Group Theatre including a sampling of its L.A Cafe Plays
– We have the amazing Brasilidade Samba & Pagode Show who will be performing throughout the day.
– If you are hungry we will have the Son Of A Bun truck, Border Grill Santa Monica truck and The Pudding Truck as well as our wonderful on sire restaurant the Spitfire Grill and the Typhoon at Santa Monica Airport (open in the evening).

– Special Monotype Workshop with Jackie Nach.
– ArtWalk Stamp Hunt – Have fun exploring the ArtWAlk and get stamped at all 5 locations listed on the back of the map. Then fly over to the Info Booth to pick up a prize.
