There will be a dedication with the LAPD Drum and Pipes Corps at sunset on Fri. July 3, 2015. Official events will begin at 7:30pm Friday July 3rd. Event hosted by LAPD Pacific Division and their booster club. About: The End of Watch Memorial Wall is a traveling exhibit dedicated to the 207 LAPD officers who have fallen in the line of duty. At 58 feet long and weighing in at over 15,000 lbs, it stands in tribute to those who have served and fallen. The Memorial Wall is 58 feet wide, 9 feet tall, made of 15,000 pounds of steel, stainless steel and polymer glass. More than 10,000 LEDS create the beautiful blue lighting effects. The Wall comes together or apart in 5 sections for moving purposes. There are 207 End of Watch LAPD Officers on the Wall surrounded by all 6 Series LAPD historical badges and the 1 LAPPL Insignia. The main center LAPD Badge is over 4 feet tall and weighs in at over 100 pounds of multi-layered stainless steel. It very well may be the largest stainless steel badge in the world. .
