Venice Design Series 

We are pleased to invite you our 2nd Annual design-inspired fundraising series showcasing original curated special events: intimate salons, tours, luncheons and dinners, hosted by the area’s cutting edge visionary artists. Co-founded by Jay Griffith and Linda Lucks and Co-Chaired by Dana and Eric Newman, welcome to the Venice Design Series, benefiting Venice Community Housing (VCH).

About Venice Community Housing:   The mission of Venice Community Housing is to reduce homelessness, maximize affordable housing, empower residents, provide social services, and advocate for public policy that protects and strengthens the economic, racial and cultural diversity of Venice and other neighborhoods on the Westside of Los Angeles.

DTLA: A Downtown Experience
The DTLA revival is dynamic & exciting. Enjoy a guided tour of live, work, & dining spaces in the Historic Core, Bunker Hill, Arts District & Skid Row.

SATURDAY, MAY 7:
A Sullivan Canyon Walking Tour
Walk Brentwood’s rustic neighborhood of Cliff May & Peter Choate designed, mid-century ranch homes & equestrian center, led by Jay Griffith.

A Moveable Feast on Appleton Way
Stroll the Venice neighborhood of architectural homes with cocktails, cuisine by local chefs, including Jason Neroni and Nyesha Arrington; plus entertainment at each home.

SATURDAY, May 14
SWLA: The Vibrant Southwest LA Tour
Celebrate the rich heritage of Baldwin Hills, Village Green, View Park & Leimert Park, including artist Mark Bradford’s Art + Practice and a performance by jazz & blues great Barbara Morrison.

SUNDAY, May 15
Saddle Peak Soiree
A mountain sunset overlooking the Pacific at architect Michael Sant’s Saddle Peak House with performances by the principle cellist of the LA Philharmonic, Robert deMaine & guitarist Mak Grgic, food & drink, hosted by Kristin & Michael Sant.
