The children are walking for 30 minutes to raise funds to support the Family-funded (not LAUSD) Physical Education Program. Our goal is to raise $20,000 to pay for our PE program, directed by our beloved Coach Rachel (which includes team sports, yoga and hands on training in living an active life). Walgrove is a public school that has a very diverse population with HALF of our families being socioeconomically disadvantaged, so every dollar counts.
