  • Take a photo with the The Ballerina Clown sculpture on  the corner of Main Street and Rose Ave.  The Ballerina Clown was designed by Santa Monica architect Johannes Van Tilburg
  • Shop at the Farmers Market at the The Victorian –    Built in 1892 in Santa Monica, this mansion was home to the same family for many decades.  It was transported to Heritage Square in 1973 and remains a pillar of the Santa Monica’s Main Street community.The Victorian loves the City of Santa Monica and has been thrilled to host the Farmer’s Market every Sunday for years.
  • Go watch some live music at O’Brien’s Irish Pub and Restaurant, they have bands seven nights a week.
  • Go to the Library and read a book, for heavens sake! :)
  • Drink a fresh squeezed vegetable juice from One Life grocery store.

  • Every Tuesday:  Santa Monica Food truck event at the California Heritage Museum.  5:30-9:30 p.m.
  • Every Sunday:  Farmers’ Market .  All Markets open rain-or-shine year ’round!  2640 Main St.  9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
  • May 28.  4th Annual MAINopoly: Taste Of Main Street. More than 20 participating locations will provide a tasting to attendees and stamp their game board, with a play on the classic game.
  • June 25.  Summer Soulstice.  Live bands and street festival.  
  • June 25.  YAS Fitness Centers’ YAS-A-Thon.   YAS-A-THON is a three hour indoor cycling event led by incredible YAS fitness instructors, with music, snacks, drinks and an exciting raffle!  Sign up now and spin for a cause!
  • First weekend in December.  Annual Holiday Festival.  This weekend event includes a tree lighting, meet Santa, candlelit walk to Edgemar,  a window holiday decoration Contest, and Sidewalk Sale.

PARKING:  

  • Two large public parking lots, a few small public parking lots, over 350 metered parking spaces on the street, and several private lots on or next to Main Street. There is a small public lot off Strand, between Main and Neilsen Way and another off Norman Place, near the Library. Meters are a dollar an hour.
  • Street parking; most meters are 3 hours and the meters can’t be fed to increase time beyond the posted limit; cars have to be moved. $1/hr. Meters take credit cards and change, not bills.
  • Three municipal with pay stations: one between Kinney and Hill with entrances on Kinney (off Neilson), Ashland and Hill; one south of Hollister with entrances off Hollister and off Main (across from Edgemar); and one on the southwest corner of Main & Strand. All $1/hr. Pay stations take credit cards, change and bills.  Important:  Put your receipt on the dashboard after purchasing the space.  Failure to do so will result in a 453 ticket.
