Try Venice’s Canal Club & James’ Beach! Canal Club: Serving up fare based on a broad definition of Pacific Rim cuisine with dishes from California, Asia, and Mexico in a fun beachy casual environment with an eclectic décor, “Canal” refers to the nearby Venice Canals, while “Club” could apply to the preponderance of locals stacked at the bar. You’ll find one of the best bargains in town here during happy hour when you can make a meal of bar food for a mere $2.95 a pop. James Beach: This neighborhood beach restaurant brings together all walks of Venice life under one roof using the allure of modern American comfort food made with the best available ingredients and a Wine Spectator award-winning wine list that hits a variety of price points.
